DANS FUNK 3.0

DansFunk 3.0 har som syfte att lyfta den inkluderande scenkonstens betydelse för danskonstens utveckling och ge fler dansare och koreografer med funktionsvariationer möjlighet att utvecklas konstnärligt inom dans.

Under DansFunk 3.0 presenteras ett program som består av internationellt hyllade gästspel, workshoppar, rundabordssamtal, danssnack mm där du får möta dansare och koreografer med och utan funktionsvariationer från Storbritannien, Italien, Grekland, Nederländerna och Sverige. Inom ramen för festivalen arrangeras även den internationella konferensen Beyond Access där vi tittar på olika faktorer och kulturpolitiska strategier som faktiskt gör skillnad både nationellt och internationellt för att skapa en större mångfald av kroppar och identiteter på scen.

Framför allt belyser vi frågan om hur vi skapar möjligheter för att få fler koreografer och dansare med funktionsvariationer att skapa och utvecklas konstnärligt på egna villkor.

Workshoparna är ett samarbete mellan Danscentrum Syd, Skånes Dansteater och Dansalliansen.

Tanja Erhart, born in Tyrol/Austria, studied in Vienna and graduated her MA as a cultural and social anthropologist in 2012. She specialised in dance, performance and disability studies. Meanwhile she also trained as a contemporary dancer with AXIS Dance Company (USA), Candoco Dance Company (UK), Adam Benjamin, Sonja Browne, Vera Rebl, Michael Turinsky and other artists in Vienna. In 2014 Tanja joined Candoco as a professional dancer for three years. She toured, performed and taught inclusive dance practice in countries like the UK, Switzerland, South Korea, Mexico, Africa and many more. Currently Tanja is a disabled, independent dance artist and cultural scientist based in London exploring her interests of physical, emotional, mental well-being as well as the interconnectedness of being an artist and a citizen of the world.

Claire Cunningham  is a performer and creator of multi-disciplinary performance based in Glasgow, Scotland. A recent Factory Artist with Tanzhaus NRW Düsseldorf, Germany she is also an Affiliate Artist with The Place, London.

One of the UK’s most acclaimed and internationally renowned disabled artists, Cunningham’s work is often rooted in the study and use/misuse of her crutches and the exploration of the potential of her own specific physicality with a conscious rejection of traditional dance techniques (developed for non- disabled bodies).  This runs alongside a deep interest in the lived experience of disability and its implications not only as a choreographer but also in terms of societal notions of knowledge, value, connection and interdependence.

Festivalen pågår den 11-21 november 2021 på Skånes Dansteater i Malmö.
